Safeguarding and Child Protection
Springwood is committed to the rights, protection, and safety of children, young people, vulnerable adults and families who come into contact with us.
We have rebuts procedures to protect from harm and we follow child protection plans if needed. We work very closely with outside agencies and we have have procedures for reporting and seeking advice. We have Lead Safeguarding Officers and their deputies. We also have senior Lead Safeguarding Officers.
All members of staff and volunteers are updated annually in safeguarding and child protection.
All staff, and those who are in regular contact with our children and staff, have an enhanced DBS check in place and go through regular, rigorous suitability checks while in employment with us.
We are committed to promoting awareness of child abuse issues amongst staff, volunteers and families of the children attending Springwood. We are also committed to empowering children through our early childhood curriculum, promoting their right to be strong, resilient and listened to.
